Earlier this year, Sadek Hossain received the certificate from the PIB (Bangladesh Press Institute) regarding journalism. He is very happy to receive the certificate for the first time from any government organization. He specially thanked for this achievement to Nasimul Ahsan, Assistant Trainer of PIB. At the last day of this course (19 December, 2017), he received his certificate from Shah Alamgir, Director general of Bangladesh Press Institute at Circuite House Road, Dhaka.
It is to be noted that, basic training was organized for journalists second time from 17th of December on the applicants. PIB will organize more such 98 courses of this type. To participate in these courses, candidate apply online. Those who are working in different media will be given preference.
In the ceremony, certificates were handed over to 35 students participating in basic training. Sadek Hossain is one of them who got a chance to attend this foundation training on journalism. Finally he got the certificate as great achievement by successfully. This is added that Sadek Hossain has participated and successfully completed the foundation training on journalism for the journalists of Dhaka organized by Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) held at PIB from 17-19th December 2017.
Sadek Hossain learnt many topics about journalism from this course. At the eleventh hour Shah Alamgir director general of Bangladesh Press Institute advised the students about there are many different issue of journalism.
Shah Alamgir said, “To be a good journalist, there should be a commitment to the profession. This commitment is for her own sake and for something better.
He said these at the closing ceremony of a three-day basic training course on journalism organized at Bangladesh Press Institute on Tuesday.
Shah Alamgir said Sadek Hossain ‘Journalists are more staggering than pen knives. Pulling a pen can destroy a person’s lifetime achievement. So before journalists’ information is presented, think about how this news is good.
He said, “Journalism is a risky profession. Hundred temptations in this way. Journalists can not keep their commitments if they fall into this temptation.
Divisional Head of Mass Communication and Journalism Department of Dhaka University spoke on the occasion as the chief guest. Mofizur Rahman said Sadek Hossain, “Most of the leading journalists of our country did not have an institutional degree in journalism. They learned to work. But now academic issues have been added to journalism. So I will say those who have come to journalism in official form, they will be successful soon.
PIB Assistant Trainer Nasimul Ahsan conducted the lecture on the concluding ceremony, Director of Studies and Training Anwara Begum and Member of the Board of Directors Swapan Saha.
